Recently, patients and their families have reached out to me with concerns and questions as the Gila Regional Medical Center switches cancer center providers.  As a result, I have requested an investigation by the State Auditor into the decision-making process.

If you are concerned about this recent change and would like to stay updated on the Auditor’s findings, please sign up by clicking on the link below to receive updates. I will do all I can to make sure our cancer patients in Grant County and our entire region have the best health care. Quality health care for cancer patients is not a game, and should not be driven by who you know or by profit-margins.

Now that the truth has been exposed about the Governor’s tactics, we need to move forward in supporting the needs of our behavioral health providers in order to serve the people of New Mexico.

I strongly believe in the need to support our teachers, support public education and the development of an approach to education that meets the needs of our State.  We need to prepare our students for their future in a highly competitive job environment.
I support early childhood education, giving our youngest children a jump start in their education.

I am committed to ensuring our failed corporate tax structure ends.  New Mexico has the lowest job growth in the entire Nation.  We need to invest in the basic infrastructure for economic growth, clean energy, highways and worker education and training.

It has been a long tradition in New Mexico, that our women and men have protected the values of our great nation through military service. With these high rates of military volunteerism come high volumes of veterans with unmet needs. I work to bring improved benefits for veterans.

We must protect and preserve one of our most valuable resources “WATER”.
